My site, my words... Back in the late eighties when living in Palm Springs California, I had an idea of doing a record, a solo record. At the time, Kyuss was in full swing, and all of my energies were channeled into pushing the band forward, leaving very little time for anything else, you may know the story. In between that time in Palm Springs and now, I have had the opportunity to work with amazing artists who have helped me cure my fix for playing and recording my music. Bands like Slo Burn, Unida, The Crystal Method, Arsenal, and my on-going work with Hermano, but, it was never enough.

This Garcia vs. Garcia project intentions are not to be successful as in having my picture on the cover of the Rolling Stone, this is not my plight as I already consider myself a successful father, husband and musician and the cover of some magazine would not make me any more successful than the next person. This is my time to finally get this monkey off my back. This record is for the people who have supported me though out the years, especially after Kyuss broke. I finally get to release the feelings, lyrics, songs and music I have collected and have held on to for 20 plus years and to date... this is the beginning of whats about to happen. This record is for me, my family, my friends, you know who you are.

Great news from John : what's going on ???

Well folks, I’ve got news from the man himself - we talked together with John through Skype last week.

John Garcia is currently on tour in the U.S for the first time in years, performing what we’ve mainly seen as the most intense concerts ever this year with KYUSS LIVES...

The legend goes on all across America and Canada until early december, with even a little trip in south America (Mexico, Chile, Argentina and Brazil !!!).

How luck you american fans are to -at last !- check out John on stage after all these years.

There’s also been a major change within KYUSS LIVES organization, as they’ve moved on on a business plan, joining a new team of powerful managers in the U.S. Thus they are planning very exciting new things for the year to come, with new spots in different medias, exciting exposures on new scenes and so on.

Since spring 2010 when the KYUSS LIVES monster has risen again like a phoenix, expectations and excitement have climbed up like a rocket, especially in Europe with major press articles and a very successful tour beginning its first leg in march, and ending on a climax in early july as guest on huge festivals.

As you may guess, KYUSS LIVES ain’t ready to close its new-born chapter soon. And thus, GARCIA VS GARCIA project is a little bit delayed, with so much anticipation buzzing around. But don’t worry, G VS G is still a priority in John’ s life, as it will surely embody the most personal achievement of his whole career. Knowing the man, this first solo album will be a treasure and he will take his time to make it.

In july I paid a visit to my friend in the desert and he gave me the best gift he could : a private listening session and the demo CD of the four GARCIA VS GARCIA songs already recorded as work in progress. AND LEMME TELL YOU HOW AMAZING THEY ARE !!!! I just can’t stop listening to the four of them ; it’s just pure rock’n’roll music, with great feelings, personal vibes and a lot of dedication... This gives such an exciting indication of how this is gonna sound like -and is just a new frustration for us : when could we definitely get our ears on this ? Ah ah ah ! Colossal amounts of patience will one day be rewarded ! And believe me, as he says, this is gonna KICK ASS !!!

Anyway, for the moment there may be plans for KYUSS LIVES to release a LIVE ALBUM after the tour’s ended ! Yes, you’ve well read this : a live album, the first time for us to ever check out live recordings of their thunderous catalogue we’ve magically attended this year on different stages... And this album could end with a surprise : a brand new studio track that could be recorded very soon, giving a first idea of the material they’re currently working on for a NEW STUDIO ALBUM as well !!!!!...

Yes, 2012 will surely see the release of a live AND a studio album full of new songs ! We will obviously tell you more as soon as they go further in the studio and in the making...

Big deal ! New exciting projects on their way : John is just thrilled about what’s going on, so much excited about this new turning point in his legendary career.

Hold on guys, there’s so much to come !

Kyuss Lives! Announces US and Canada Tour

Well folks, it's official... Kyuss Lives! will be doing a US and Canada tour. The dates have not been finalized yet, but we will definitely keep you informed. The tour is set to happen sometime towards the end of 2011. Looking forward to seeing you all!

In promotion and preparation for the long awaited Garcia vs Garcia record slated to come out at the end of this year, John Garcia and guitarist Bruno Fevery have been blessed with the presence of Brant Bjork and Nick Oliveri under the name Kyuss Lives for a world tour. The dates are selling out fast…so act fast!! For those of you who already have a ticket, you will hear some of John’s solo songs playing through the P.A. before each show, I guess you’ll have to be one of the lucky ones with a ticket to see Kyuss Lives and to hear some Garcia vs Garcia for the first time!!! See you there!!!
